Introducing Trialmed

Welcome to Trialmed! You might have previously known our clinical trials clinics under different names, such as Synexus, PPD, or Optimal, but we are updating our name and look under a single brand, Trialmed.

Trialmed will offer the same great service and standard of care that you have come to expect when participating in clinical trials, but will show off some new colours along with the new brand name and website. We hope you find this transition seamless and helpful! We look forward to navigating the clinical trials process with you in your local Trialmed clinic.

Trialmed is your local clinical trials -dedicated team and the new name that more clearly represents our site network. Trialmed replaces previous brand names like PPD, Synexus, Optimal, and Radiant. You may have even seen other brands on some of our websites. Trialmed unifies the naming conventions for these sites that have previously operated under different names, and we look forward to presenting you with a more cohesive experience under this new name.

There will be no changes to phone numbers. If you are in email communication with your clinical trial team, you may see the new brand reflected in their email address. Please begin to use that email address as applicable. Otherwise, continue to use the contact information presented to you in any clinical trial documents.

This does not affect the clinical trial you have signed up for. Other than the change to the organisation’s name, there are no changes anticipated for the clinical trial you are interested in or participating in. You will still see the same faces in the clinic and can expect the same familiar processes.

This change in brand for the site network does not affect your signed clinical trial consent. Future consents, as applicable per clinical trial, will use an updated consent template. This may include the new Trialmed brand for the site network. Your clinical trial team will walk you through any changes necessary for you as they become applicable, but we don’t expect many changes to your informed consent form directly related to this brand change.

This will not impact the stipend, travel, expenses, or reimbursement that you receive. All the details for your compensation and reimbursements, and anything else you need to know about the clinical trial are still up to date in your most recent informed consent form.

We are making this change to provide more clarity and efficiency to our customers and clinical trial participants. Our site network has historically operated under different names, even in the same region.

You can expect to see the updated Trialmed name and branding on clinical trial materials and on signage around the clinic in late May and early June 2025. Our listings of available clinical trials will continue to migrate around the same time. Please check back regularly.

Find a clinical trial to see what is currently available! We are still in the process of listing all clinical trials – if you don’t see what you are looking for, check back in soon. You can still provide us with your information, and we’ll be in touch to help you find a clinical trial.

Our Early Development participants that are familiar with https://www.ppd.com/participate-in-clinical-trial/clinical-trial-opportunities/ will still be able to reference those listings until all clinical trial listings have moved to this website.

There are no changes to your participation history, or any documentation collected in our clinic. Your medical history and participation history will transfer to the new Trialmed brand. There are no changes to associated systems or databases as part of this rebranding, outside of logo changes.

It is our hope that your onsite experience will change for the better!

Ultimately, there should be no changes to your onsite experience other than new signs, updated clinical trial documents, and new uniforms worn by our staff. We are taking this opportunity to refresh our clinics a bit as well. The unified brand name might help our staff communicate clinical trial details to you more coherently.

There will be no changes to how you are paid. Please refer to your most recent informed consent document. If you have a clin card, that will still work. If your site uses other payment methods, no changes are expected. Your clinical trial team will let you know if there are any changes relevant to you.

Yes! All of the familiar faces will be the same, just an updated look around the clinic and online.

Yes, please refer to your most recent informed consent for the most recent updates.

If you are an active participant or scheduled to screen for a clinical trial, please refer to your clinical trial team’s contact information or the contact centre through which you signed up.

If you have more general questions or anything that your clinical trial team was unable to answer for you, please contact us and we’ll get your question routed appropriately.

You don’t need to do anything differently! If anything changes for your specific clinical trial or situation, the clinical trial team will let you know.
